Blepharoplasty
A blepharoplasty is a type of plastic surgery for the eyelids. The procedure removes excess skin, fat, or muscle from eyelids to improve appearance and/or function. It can remove under eye bags, tighten skin, and improve contour of the eye area. The surgery can improve the field of vision in addition to aesthetic improvement of the eyes.

Because Every Detail Matters
Good candidates typically suffer from excess upper eyelid skin that can interfere with vision, puffy lower eyelids from fat deposits, and/or loose skin or wrinkles around the eyes.
Benefits can be both functional and cosmetic. Eyes will appear more youthful, brighter and more alert. The procedure tightens loose skin for a refreshed look. The surgery can improve vision and reduce irritation or discomfort from heavy, sagging eyelids, which can cause fatigue or strain.
There are upper and lower eyelid lifts. Lower lifts consist of skin removal, fat removal or a combination thereof. Incisions are placed on the lash line and inside of the eyelid. Upper blepharoplasties are performed by creating an incision in the crease of the upper lid and removing excess, sagging skin.
Dr. Beale commonly performs blepharoplasties with facelifts, brow lifts or fat grafting as a part of a complete facial rejuvenation.
