Brow Lift
A brow lift, also called a forehead lift, is designed to raise the eyebrows and smooth the forehead, creating a more refreshed and youthful appearance. It helps correct drooping brows and reduce forehead and frown lines. The goal of a brow lift is to restore a natural brow position, while maintaining facial expression, resulting in a smoother forehead and a more alert, rested look.

Because Every Detail Matters
Good candidates are individuals with drooping, heavy brows, deep forehead lines, or frown lines that create a tired or angry appearance. Dr. Beale performs this procedure most typically on patients in their 40s to 60s.
A brow lift offers a range of aesthetic and functional benefits by elevating the forehead tissues and restoring the brows to a more youthful position. The procedure helps smooth deep forehead lines, soften frown lines between the eyebrows, and reduce the heavy, tired or angry appearance caused by a low or sagging brow. By opening the upper eye area, a brow lift can create a brighter, more refreshed look and improve overall facial balance. Many patients also notice that their eyes appear more alert and expressive, giving the entire face a rejuvenated, harmonious appearance without looking overdone.
The recovery timeline for a brow lift can vary from person to person, but here is a general overview of what to expect during the healing process:
- You may experience discomfort, swelling, and bruising around the forehead and eyes during the first couple of days after surgery.
- If non-dissolvable stitches were used, they may be removed within the first week.
- Most patients feel able to return to desk work and light activities within one week.
- Swelling continues to diminish and most visible bruising fades during weeks two to three.
- Temporary numbness or tightness in the face and neck may persist but gradually improve over several weeks.
Dr. Beale routinely performs cosmetic surgery with great attention to achieving natural results. His patients enjoy the benefits of a natural, refreshed look after a brow lift, not an over-arched or startled appearance. By focusing on the deeper structures rather than simply tightening the skin, a brow lift delivers natural-looking results that avoid a “surprised” appearance while opening the eyes and brightening the entire upper face.
What to Expect From a Brow Lift with Dr. Beale
Dr. Beale will conduct a meeting with you to discuss your desired surgical outcome and goals. He will conduct an exam to ensure you are a good candidate for the procedure.
During a brow lift, the skin of the forehead is raised and tightened through incisions carefully hidden behind or along the hairline. Dr. Beale releases the underlying muscles and tissues responsible for brow descent and frown lines. Then, he gently elevates and secures the brows in a natural position using sutures or fixation devices.
The release of these muscles will not affect your ability to move your eyebrows or forehead. You will still be able to make normal facial expressions, and the result will be natural-looking and not too tight.
Incisions will be hidden by your hair or just above the eyebrows. With his delicate closure technique, these incisions become virtually invisible.
